I have seen the Yellow River
Tumbling, roaring to the sea
I have seen the Borealis
Glorious lights swirling on me.
I have seen scenes of destruction 
Bringing grown men to their knees 
Yet also I've seen resurrection 
Love performing miraculous deeds 

Dragon, dragon, take me away
Twirling, twisting in the sky
Phoenix, phoenix, come then with me
Wings of our souls let us fly

Sunlight, salt, and ocean roar
Make the sand beneath my feet
Eagles' cries and dragonfly winks
Are the blue sky that my eyes meet.
Spread your arms and taste the power
At the edge of land and water
Close your eyes and see the currents
Swirling through now and hereafter

Wings of our souls let us fly

Solid stone and soil and rock
With woven wreaths of misty breath
Refuge of solitude wild
A place to escape even death
Look up, look at the leafy temple
Muffled footsteps fall on soil
Comfortable dimness wrapping
Shadowed limbs in a loving coil

Through the valleys moist and rich
Where hardy farmers toil and sweat
Through the narrow strips of plain
Spread with patched paddies wet.
Leaving freedom far behind
Giving Nature up for Man
Steel and concrete prisons pale
Stilling instinct, stilling hands

Singing, soaring, flying high 
Phoenix, phoenix, come then with me
Harmonizing our goodbye 
Out of cities dark and crowded
To the rhythms of the past
A place where rainbows come to roost
A place where I am home at last
